Raising Brothers

I love watching my boys play together. I remember when Jax was a baby and Sawyer was 18 months people would always tell me that I had my hands full. At the time I would always say that what I was worried about was when they turned 2 and 3 and I had to chase them in two different directions. Well, we are there now and I will tell you they are busy boys. I spend a lot of time each day teaching them to share, breaking up fights, and cleaning up huge messes. Of course some days I want a break, but I wouldn't change it for the world. They love each other so much and when I see them hug and love on each other it melts my heart.

I took Jax to get a shot on Thursday and Sawyer kept telling me not to let Jax get a shot because it would hurt him. He was so upset. He tried to warn Jax by telling him that he was going to get a shot and that it would hurt.

He has taught Jax lots of things and most of them are good. He is always pointing out colors, shapes, and letters to his little brother. Here they are washing their cars in soapy water. I told them it was a car wash. They had a blast. Hopefully they will do this with the dishes one day.

I love raising brothers. I can't imagine my life any other way. Sawyer decided to turn Jax's trike into a tricycle built for two.

Jax did not think this was a good idea. You've gotta love em!

Shandra, I thought of you when I was writing it. It will be interesting to see how adding a little sister changes things. I bet you can't wait to meet your daughter!
I kept my friends little girl the other day and my boys were so much calmer. They had someone else to play with and didn't fight with each other. I was thinking they might need a sister.

they are SO excited about their sister! especially andrew. he's going to drive me crazy wanting to hold her all time time, i'm sure.
i hope the boys let her in on their little club tho.
i was telling matt the other day how the boys have really grown up....or have learned how to share. no constant battles over toys or wanting what the other has. it's been SO nice...and i'm hoping it keeps up! it definetly does get easier!!...so wait on adding a baby! :) i'm SOOO done w/ being prego! :)
